No. Organizers can't edit or delete an entry; the app has no way to change one. The trail is kept with the election for 5 years and deleted with it after a 30-day notice.
No. The audit trail records that a ballot was submitted, never by whom or how. Voter identity is structurally separated from ballot data, so it's impossible for anyone, including ElectionChamp staff, to trace a vote back to a specific voter.
On your election's Audit trail tab, click Download CSV. The file has every entry, oldest first, with times in your election's time zone and in UTC, and voter keys masked. Most organizations attach it to their board meeting minutes or keep it on file.
Yes. The complete audit trail is included on every plan, including the free tier for up to 20 voters. We believe every election, regardless of size, deserves proper documentation and compliance records.
Election records, including the audit trail, are kept for 5 years after an election closes (or after its last activity, if that is later), well beyond the LMRDA's one-year minimum for union elections. Then the election is deleted. We email you at least 30 days before, so download the results and keep copies of any records your organization must hold longer.
