Online Voting for K-12 Schools

Run student council elections, PTA votes, and school-wide decisions online. Easy enough for students, secure enough for administrators, and affordable enough for any school budget.

School Elections Shouldn't Take Weeks of Planning

Between lesson plans, extracurriculars, and everything else — running an election shouldn't be one more thing piled on a teacher's plate.

📋

Too Much Work for Teachers

Printing ballots, organizing polling stations during lunch, counting votes after school — student council elections fall on teachers and advisors who are already stretched thin.

📭

PTA Participation Is Declining

Working parents can't always attend evening meetings to vote on budgets, officer elections, or school initiatives. Mailed paper ballots have low return rates and are expensive to process.

🤷

No Real Learning Moment

A quick show-of-hands vote doesn't teach students about democratic processes. They deserve an experience that mirrors a real election — with real candidates, real ballots, and real results.

There's a better way to run school elections.

ElectionChamp handles the entire process — setup, voting, reminders, counting, and results — so teachers can teach and students can learn what real civic participation looks like.

School Voting Questions

Absolutely. The ballot interface is clean and intuitive — candidate names, simple descriptions, and clear selection buttons. Students as young as 3rd grade have used ElectionChamp successfully. For younger students, a teacher or advisor can supervise the process in a computer lab or classroom setting using school devices.

Not necessarily. If your school assigns student email addresses (like Google Workspace for Education), those work perfectly. If students don't have email, you have two options: use a parent or guardian email to distribute voter keys, or generate printable voter keys that can be distributed in class by the teacher. Each key is unique and can only be used once.

Yes, and this is one of the most popular approaches. Set up the election, distribute voter keys to each classroom, and have students vote on their Chromebooks during a designated class period. The entire process takes about 2 minutes per student. Teachers can supervise without seeing any individual ballots.

Yes. Your account can manage unlimited elections with different voter lists. Run student council elections for students, PTA officer elections for parents, and faculty votes for staff — all from the same account, each with separate ballots and results. Many schools use ElectionChamp for all of these throughout the year.

Each student receives a unique 16-digit voter key that can only be used once. Once a ballot is submitted, that key is permanently marked as used. Even if a student tries to click their voting link again, they'll see a confirmation that their vote has already been recorded. There is no way to vote twice.

ElectionChamp takes student privacy seriously. The only data required is a name and email (or generated voter key). Ballots are encrypted with AES-256 and anonymous — no one can see how any individual voted. We do not collect, store, or share any student educational records. The platform collects only the minimum data needed to administer the election.

For a 500-voter PTA election, just $25 ($10 base + $0.05 × 300 voters above 200). A school-wide student election with 800 students would cost $40. Compare that to the cost of printing paper ballots and the volunteer hours spent counting them. No monthly fees — you only pay when you run an election.

Yes — that's by design. There's no software to install, no server to configure, and no IT department needed. Any teacher, student council advisor, or PTA volunteer can create an account, set up an election, upload a voter list, and launch in under 10 minutes. It works in any web browser on any device.
